To ensure smooth and accurate production, we ask that all design files follow these guidelines. Don’t worry if this is your first time, we’re happy to help you get your files ready!
Accepted File Types
We prefer vector files in the following formats:
.AI
(Adobe Illustrator).SVG
.DXF
.EPS
.PDF
(vector only – no raster images)
If you’re unsure, send what you have
and we’ll let you know if it works
or needs tweaking.
Design at Actual Size
Make sure your file is set to the final size you want the piece cut or engraved at. Use millimeters or inches consistently across your file.
Use Layers or Colors to Show Intentions
Use separate layers or colors to indicate:
Cut lines (typically red, 0.001” stroke width)
Engrave lines (blue or black, medium stroke)
Score lines (green or another color)
We’ll confirm these with you before production.
Avoid These Common Issues
No filled shapes—outline only.
No overlapping lines—these can cause double cuts.
Convert text to outlines/paths—this ensures no font issues.
Make sure everything is joined/closed properly—especially for engraving or etching.
